The New and Improved Intex saltwater system eliminates the need to store and handle chlorine pills and is designed for Intex above ground pools up to 15,000 gallons. Simply fill your pool with the appropriate amount of pure salt, attach the Intex saltwater system after the pool filter, and press the button. The salt cell in the Intex CG-26669 (26669EG) starts producing pure chlorine and releases it into the pool. Salt does not evaporate; extra salt is only required to replenish salt lost due to splash out or backwashing. The Intex Salt System 26669 creates nascent oxygen molecules, which are highly effective sanitizers, in addition to breakpoint oxidation, which occurs continuously to remove chloramines. This process is known as Electro catalytic Oxidation, or E.C.O. for short. This Intex Saltwater System outperforms all previous models thanks to the combination of continuous chlorine generation and E.C.O. technology, which allows you to run at a lower chlorine level.
