Lee’s Summit store reports total loss after devastating fire | Messages

LEE’S SUMMIT, MO (KCTV) — The waterhole building at Lee’s Summit has been declared a total loss following a fire Friday night.

Firefighters reported a fire at 401 SE Oldham Pkwy at 3:35 p.m. Friday.

Heavy smoke and fire came from the building.

Nobody was in the building and it was closed for the holidays.

The fire was under control around 7:25 p.m. Friday. A haz-mat crew from the Kansas City Fire Department monitored air quality and water runoff due to the pool chemical fire.

The fire is believed to have started on the south side and spread everywhere.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

No injuries were reported.
