Netflix has released a promo video for its impressive 2022 film slate, and among the glimpses of exciting projects is Jamie Foxx with Day Shift. Alongside the Netflix clip, which features some snippets of the first footage from the upcoming action film show Foxx Fights Vampires, something audiences have undoubtedly been wanting to see, the streaming giant has also released an official image of Day Shift via NetflixFilm.
Day Shift stars Oscar-winner Jamie Foxx as a hard-working, working-class father who just wants his quick-witted daughter to have a good life. During the day, he works a mundane pool-cleaning job in the San Fernando Valley, but that’s just a front for his real source of income, hunting and killing vampires as part of an international vampire hunters’ association.

Day Shift marks the directorial debut of JJ Perry, best known for his work as a second unit director and stunt coordinator on action films such as The Fate of the Furious, Bloodshot and the John Wick series, which suggests action sequences that Foxx ‘ Show affinity for vampire hunting should impress the audience.
Netflix Day Shift is scripted by Tyler Tice and edited by Shay Hatten of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum fame. John Wick director Chad Stahelski is on board as a producer alongside Jason Spitz for 87Eleven Entertainment; Shaun Redick and Yvette Yates Redick for Impossible Dream Entertainment. Foxx is executive producing with Datari Turner and Peter Baxter. With so much influence from the team behind modern action classic John Wick, Day Shift certainly has the action pedigree needed to make the film a popular Netflix outing.
