City of Terrace to turn swimming pool green for St. Patrick’s day

Terrace is set to turn its swimming pool turn green for the occasion of St. Patrick’s Day on March 17.

The Terrace & District Aquatic Centre will temporarily dye the pool green for swim activities after 2 p.m. on Thursday and residents are encouraged to take a dip in the “green leisure pool.”

The city said it will be using non-toxic dye for the pool water which will be safe and won’t colour the skin or swimsuits.

“We can neither prove nor deny that entering the pool will bring you the luck of the Irish—so you’ll just have to try it to find out!” The city said in a social media post.

The pool timings and full schedule can be accessed on their website
